The Roland Aerophone is a convenient, low-maintenance way to spend more time on your instrument. With its saxophone fingering system, mouthpiece, and portability, everything you practice on your Aerophone directly translates to your saxophone. The muscle memory and skills you build with the Aerophone carry over without the need to deal with reads, cleaning swabs, or wiping down oily fingerprints.
Low Maintenance
Taking care of an acoustic saxophone can be a lot of work. While most saxophone maintenance can be straightforward, you must do it consistently to keep your instrument in tip-top shape. To ensure your saxophone stays in good working condition, cleaning your instrument must be a regular part of your post-playing routine, or you’re bound to have more maintenance and performance issues down the road.
The Aerophone is made with high-quality, durable materials. It also has a protective band to keep extra moisture from the instrument’s body. After playing, a quick wipe-down of the instrument keeps your Aerophone in performance-ready shape.
Save Money
With the Aerophone, there’s no need for reeds, extra mouthpieces, or endlessly swapping around your gear to nail down the perfect sound. This saves you money and time because you no longer need to maintain or care for an endless stream of accessories and equipment. You don’t need to worry about reed storage or protection, mouthpiece cases, the correct type of polishing cloths, or what kind of case you’ll use for your instrument. Everything you need comes in the box with your Aerophone, including the mouthpiece with an attached reed, the protective band, the AC power cable, the neckstrap, and even the case.
Say Goodbye to Bad Pitch
Did you know that temperature can affect the intonation of your instrument? If the temperature where you’re playing is hotter or colder than usual, how in tune you’re playing can change. With the Aerophone, your pitch isn’t affected by external factors like temperature, so you don’t need to warm up your instrument before playing.

Easy Set Up
When you open up your sax case, there’s a bit of setup you need to do to start playing and just as much teardown. You need to grab your reed from its storage, get it ready, line it up on your mouthpiece, and secure it with the ligature after removing the mouthpiece cap. You need to put your mouthpiece on your saxophone neck and then secure the neck to your saxophone. Only then are you ready to play.
Then, when you’re done, you must do this all in reverse. You should always wipe down your mouthpiece, neck, and saxophone body and run a cloth through the instrument to dry it out.
Set up and break down for the Aerophone is much quicker. Just open up your Aerophone case, remove the mouthpiece cap, and power the instrument on. When finished, turn the instrument off (if you forget, it automatically powers off after a few minutes of inactivity), remove the mouthpiece to dry it out, then replace it and the cap, and stick it right back in the case. You can give it a quick wipe-down with a microfiber cloth as an additional step.

Proper Care
Properly caring for your instrument can prolong its life and ensure you get the best sound and performance. Whether you’re playing an acoustic instrument or a digital wind instrument, it’s crucial to maintain your gear. Because of their materials, acoustic instruments require more attention and care. You can save time, money, and the hassle of care and maintenance with the Aerophone.
The benefits and features of the Aerophone make it soar far beyond a mere practice tool.
