The Roland AeroCaster is a powerful multi-phone camera livestreaming device for broadcasting to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, or any other RTMP destination. It allows you to wirelessly broadcast from multiple smartphone cameras. This creates an interactive streaming experience for your viewers. Not only does it make production more efficient, but it also facilitates camera angles from hard-to-reach spaces. The best part is that the AeroCaster is portable and only needs an iPad and a power source. This makes it perfect for on-the-go digital programs like the Nanny Bubby Cooking Confidence Show, a light-hearted program to help home cooks feel confident in their abilities. Learn how Aerocaster brings it to life.

Cooking Up a Broadcast

I had the privilege of introducing AeroCaster to my Savvy Streaming client, Marla Letizia, in early 2022. Marla hosts the Nanny Bubby Cooking Confidence TV segment weekly on the Las Vegas Now TV Show. The segment features delicious recipes, tips, and tricks for those looking to be more confident in the kitchen. The show is a fun, light-hearted approach to helping home cooks feel more confident in their abilities.

After the show, Marla packs up her set and fresh produce and heads home to produce a digital cooking show from her kitchen on Facebook Live. It’s an opportunity for her loyal fans to get up close and personal and ask detailed questions as she cooks.

Initially, Marla streamed from her iPhone as her camera source, using Apple AirPods for audio. This worked well for a while. However, as her audience grew, she realized she needed to improve her production quality. That’s when she contacted me for livestream production and social media consulting.

"As the show's audience grew, she realized she needed to improve her production quality."

A Confident Plan

With my experience in broadcasting, beta testing, studio builds, and coaching producers, I was confident I could help Marla improve her show. I reviewed her past livestreams and listened to her goals for future streams. I then put together a package and product list to help her improve the quality of her show while staying within her budget.

When I arrived at Marla’s home studio, I noticed she had great natural lighting. Good lighting is crucial for any live stream or video production, and natural light is wonderful. We then selected an external wireless microphone to boost her audio.

AeroCaster: The Perfect Solution

The Roland AeroCaster VRC-01 had just launched in the U.S., and I felt it was the perfect tool for someone who wanted to switch from using one iPhone and a static shot to a dynamic multi-camera live stream setup with enhanced audio.

Instead of investing in multiple DSLR cameras, Marla could use devices she already had to add additional scenes to her livestream production. She didn’t have to worry about tangled cords, missed camera angles, or close-up opportunities.

The Roland AeroCaster provides a professional look and feel that will make any digital show stand out from the rest. I always say, “Start where you are with what you have and just go live.”

Leveling Up

Setting up a new show rundown was challenging and fun. There were some rough patches, but we worked through them, and the result was a polished and professional livestream.

After a few training sessions, Marla could remotely produce a three-camera angle livestream broadcast. This included loading and playing previously recorded video clips of food selection and preparation, displaying a recipe card, and overlaying a sponsor logo.

Her pantry tour and food close-ups were a hit with her livestream viewers. Best of all, since one person can operate the AeroCaster, Marla didn’t need to hire a production assistant or crew. This saved her time and money, which she can reinvest in other areas of her content creation.

Multiple Angles

Having a camera above the stove or countertop gave viewers a better look at what she was cooking. Additionally, the gimbal-mounted camera phone allowed her to move without feeling tethered to one spot. Multiple camera angles gave her the freedom to be more creative with her shots as she coached her students. This all helped her to be more present during her show. She could move from her kitchen to the pantry or backyard garden to give viewers a behind-the-scenes tour.

Marla loves to cook and already had all the right pots, pans, and utensils. With AeroCaster, she got the right streaming solution. AeroCaster provided the tool to turn her talent into a visual story, bringing people together through the love of food.

Quality Streaming

Whether launching a digital show, video podcast, or music experience with multiple smartphone camera devices, the AeroCaster is a powerful solution. It allows you to create a dynamic stream that will make your digital show stand out from a sea of online content. It’s easy to use and set up, even if you’re not tech-savvy. For advanced users, AeroCaster is a perfect way to livestream to multiple platforms at once with third-party software.

The Nanny Bubby Cooking Confidence show is a perfect example of how to produce high-quality content without breaking the bank. By investing in a few key pieces of equipment and working with a professional, Marla took her show to the next level.
